  2. Read 1.12g has been revised and enhanced in many ways since
  3. the release of Read 1.12f.
  4. The array width for the directory was changed from 40 to 50.
  5. Sometimes we had a crash with Sort by Extension.
  6.  
  7. Read Key stroke Alt-V has been changed to V for convenience.
  8.  
  9. Read has been revised to extract and Read the directory of
  10. ARJ, LZH and ZIP files and Extract and Read the file you choose
  11. from the Archive Directory.
  12. Of course, PKUNZIP.EXE and/or LHA.EXE and/or ARJ.EXE must be in
  13. your DOS path for ZipView, LzhView or ArjView to work.
  14. Otherwise, the commands will be ignored.

  16. Highlight the Arj file you want and use the A key.
  17. Highlight the Lzh file you want and use the L key.
  18. Highlight the Zip file you want and use the Z key.
  19.  
  20. WARNING:
  21. Read creates temporary files in the directory you are in.
  22. If you are unsure of space available, copy the archive to be
  23. acted on to a directory on your Hard Drive.
  24. Needless to say, this feature was not meant for floppies
  25. and NO write protects as Read will crash.
  26. All Zip tests were made with PKZIP 204G.
  27. All Arj tests were made with ARJ 2.21.
  28. All Lzh tests were made with LHA 2.13.
